Centralised command and control system and develoment of the software for overseeing of the plant "Alan" located in Carbonara al Ticino (PV)
Realisation of a centralised system of alarms displaying, data collection and commands sending, consisting of several peripherals on field near the existing electrical cabinets and connected to the central unit by an easy and reliable network, made with 5x2.5mmq shielded cable. It's a modular system able to deal with up to 1016 input points and up to 1016 output points for each central unit, up to 31 unities (that means 31496 input and 31496 output points) with a cascade connection.
Central unit or control module, manage the exchange of informations among input and output modules by cyclically questioning input
peripherals and managing output's logics properly programmed.
Network communication is made by a 4 wire cable, two for data transmission and two for 24Vdc modules supply voltage.
The work/interface station (oversee, command and control) is the computer connected to the central unit via Ethernet network with RS232 converte.
The software used is particularly suited for wide work environment because it's a single centralised operative interface. The technology used made it highly complete and flaxible, integrating graphic and multimedia pages of easy and immediate understanding for final user. It was used Crickets Automation Solution X-Vision software that incorporates web instruments. This allows to the most expert programmers to built personalised pages for all sorts of uses thanks to native internet technology html based. The visualisation of the facility is graphic, planimetric, tabulated and fully customisabled depending by needs and functionality required.
Further options allow to use additional skills such as: tele-monitoring and tele-control of the plants via modem, events scheduling (lamps switching on, heating system start, etc...), alarm remote control by sending vocal announcements to multimedia or sound speakers, or vocal messages to fixed and mobile phone, or text messages to GSM cellphones, fax and email.
